Mark took the greatest care of both our children during their years in Courtauld House, Felsted. With my son he understood him where so many couldn't or wouldn't even try. We had weekly catch ups (nothing was too much trouble to him), he would always make us feel heard and championed my boy in any way he could. Mark introduced my daughter to rugby. She loved it and remembers fondly how supported she felt by him. She loved his history lessons and in particular his energy and enthusiasm which was infectious. I witnessed it regularly as we were in lockdown and quickly realised which lessons she looked forward to and a history quiz with a chance to earn his praise was the highlight of her week. As parents we will never forget his care and limitless consideration of our children. We knew our children were in safe hands while he was in charge. Our hearts go out to Gill, Luke and Toby. Mark often talked about his family with such warmth and pride and I know they brought him the greatest joy.
